He makes February extra sweet

Earlier this month we hit the one year mark since our family grew to five people. Our little Baylor has been such a constant delight this year. He's so full of sparkle, life, and vibrance. He's nearly always smiling and playful. He's had a couple rough months of not sleeping well, and despite how tired mom and dad were every morning, he still awoke chipper and lively. He is called "BayBay" more often than any other name... and he answers to it. He has made our lives more rich in so many ways. We're so happy we get to be his family.

At one year, Baylor...

...babbles a lot
...loves to play ball
...says 'ball'
...says 'Dada'
...says 'uh-oh'
...gets a huge cheesy grin when I ask him to say mama, and then proceeds to say 'dada'
...loves his brother and sister and how they play with him
...wears 12-18 month clothes
...wears 18-24 month size booties
...LOVES swings and cries when removed
...absolutely loves bathtime and splashing in the water
...loves squishing food in his hair. Particularly after freshly washed hair.
....thinks screaming and squealing are considered a good way to pass time
...loves to hold our fingers and 'walk' all over the house
...has taken two and a half steps
...stands on his own
...eats a mix of baby food and table food
...likes to scrunch up his nose, squint his eyes, and blow air through his nose
...can crawl really fast
...can crawl really fast up flights of stairs
...is forming his opinion, especially when it comes to being harrassed by older siblings
...is squishy and cuddly
...is pure delight

Here are a couple memories from his very first birthday party. It was quaint and sweet. Lots of love. Lots of balloons. And a lot of messy cake. Perfect!
