My two-year-old really has a thing for music being played while we drive the car. She's a pretty balanced listener, "allowing" me the privilege of music I enjoy, in addition to breakin' it down to her style of music, too.
When we listen to the radio, she frequently asks, "what's this song called, mom?" to which I answer and she satisfactorily answers, "oh." That questioning game goes on each time a new song is played. It sure helps me to brush up on my Top 40 music repertoire. She loves the catchy tunes and will let me know, "I like this one," when it's foot-swinging worthy. Thankfully, we rarely have people sitting in the passenger seat in front of her when she gets really moving. :)
Currently, and well, for the last year or so, she loves to request "Veggies, Veggies!!" when she's plain ol tired of listening to 'my' music. This would be Veggie Tales, of course. We have a Sunday Morning song CD that has children and the Veggie Tale characters singing along to worship songs. She's listened for so long now that she can recite the dialog that occurs between the characters between song changes. Such as, "Hi Bob," which is far more funny to hear in person than it is to see in writing, now that I say that. She also sings along to some of the songs and quite honestly, it melts my heart. Her baby brother started clapping along in the car the other day to one of the songs and with giggles she said, "Mommy, baby brother is worshipping! He's clapping, he's clapping!" Not only has she learned nearly every word to every song on this CD, I know every word to every song. I love when she laughs when I sing along... with a little laugh and head to the side she'll say, "Mom-meee"...as if she is saying "oh mom... you are trying to be young and hip like me."
